Nic Neary is an American film producer with a wide-ranging background in independent features, music videos, and commercial production. Originally from Akron, Ohio, he grew up with a deep appreciation for storytelling, visual culture, and the creative arts. While writing his senior thesis at The College of Wooster, Nic had the chance to work with acclaimed filmmaker and fellow alumnus Duncan Jones, an experience that cemented his path toward a career in filmmaking.

Nic’s work spans platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and the Sundance Film Festival. He produced the original television pilot Shrimp with writer-director Zelda Williams, which premiered at the 2018 Tribeca TV Festival, and the acclaimed short film Meet Cute starring Juno Temple, a Vimeo Staff Pick.

In 2019, he produced Solange Knowles’ album concept film When I Get Home, which was nominated for an MTV VMA, premiered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and is now part of the Criterion Collection. The following year, he produced the CW horror-comedy Kappa Kappa, Die! directed by Williams, which earned strong critical praise.

Nic’s commercial work has been recognized with some of the industry’s highest honors, including a Cannes Gold Lion and a Clio Award in 2022. In 2023, his short film Rabbit Hole won Best Episodic at the Chelsea Film Festival, and he produced the feature The Invisible Raptor, a horror comedy starring Sean Astin that premiered at the 2023 Sitges Film Festival in Spain.

Most recently in 2025, Nic produced the crime thriller Little Lorraine, starring Stephen Amell, J Balvin, Auden Thornton, Rhys Darby, Sean Astin, Josh Close, and Kaelen Ohm. The film premiered to wide critical acclaim at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival.
